Make A Difference - Support NATF Programs

With your support, NATF has been able to make significant progress in its vision to improve patient care, outcomes, and public health by utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to advance thrombosis research and education.

Thrombosis Education:

NATF sponsors several multidisciplinary thrombosis education programs annually. The Proactive Thrombosis Prevention Forum is a unique educational experience, allowing patients and their families one-on-one interaction with medical professionals in the thrombosis field. The Forum's objective is to improve patient care through the multi-disciplinary advancement of thrombosis education. North American Thrombosis Summit is an intensive 1-day symposium emphasizing Clinical Science and professional education, intended to provide a concise state-of-the-art overview of prophylaxis measures and critical developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of thrombotic disorders.

Traveling Fellowship:

The NATF Traveling Fellowship Program is an annual scientific exchange opportunity for junior faculty, physicians-in-training, scientists, nurses, or pharmacists, with the goal of providing recipients with the opportunity to explore the cross-disciplinary diagnoses, treatment, education, and research related to thrombosis. The program has doubled to include two Fellows in 2008, and NATF plans to further grow the Fellowship program with the aim of continuing to advance the potential for academic leadership in the field of thrombosis.

Basic/Translational Research Program:

The Translational Research Program is being developed to encourage and provide support for novel "thinking out-of-the-box" approaches to laboratory research. The goal of this program is to fund preliminary research that shows high promise for translating basic biomedical knowledge to thrombosis prevention and treatment.

Clinical Research Program:

The Clinical Research Program is being developed to encourage and provide support for novel clinical research projects. The goal is to fund preliminary demonstration projects that show high promise for advancing prevention and treatment of thrombotic disorders.
