Objectives:

This 1-day symposium emphasizing Clinical Science and professional education is intended to provide a concise, state-of-the-art overview of prophylaxis measures and critical developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of thrombotic disorders. Focused sessions in 5 key areas include 1) translational research, 2) clinical research, 3) prevention and education, 4) public policy, and 5) advocacy (featuring special guest lecturers Melanie Bloom, Ajay Kakkar, MD, Sanjay Kaul, MD, MPH, and Susan B. Shurin, MD).*

The course will be presented in multiple formats: 1) lectures, 2) discussion with questions and answers following each lecture, and 3) summary of the 5 Thrombosis Summit Working Groups, presented by the Directors of the North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF).

Course Participants will receive a comprehensive syllabus and CD ROM, which includes lecture outlines with slide panels and extensive up-to-date bibliographies.

*Due to circumstances beyond our control, Rear Admiral Kenneth Moritsugu will not be attending the Thrombosis Summit.
