Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor of Medicine at The University of Ottawa in the Division of Hematology. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency at UCLA Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Washington University. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Clinical and Translational Sciences from the Ohio State University.
Dr. Wang’s research interests include optimal prevention and treatment strategies for venous thromboembolism in various populations, including cancer patients. She is currently a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s Cancer-Associated Thromboembolic Disease Panel and the US thrombosis network VENUS consortium. She is also a co-chair of the Hemostasis and Malignancy subcommittee of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
