CTEPH Online Support Group

NATF’s Online Support Group offers patients the opportunity to share common concerns, offer support to one-another, and learn up-to-date and accurate information on research in the field of VTE. Each month is hosted by a different doctor, who presents on important new information for patients with blood clots.

Hot Topics in CTEPH: A Review of CTEPH Treatment Options and the Centers that Use Them”  
Join Drs. Bill Auger and Jim Welker as they discuss the often misdiagnosed and difficult to treat condition known as CTEPH or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. Patients who have had a pulmonary embolism are at risk for developing CTEPH.
Dr. Welker will interview Dr. Auger regarding the most recent treatment options for CTEPH, focusing on the discussion between balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) and pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE). The doctors will also review various treatment centers that offer these options and how to decide which option is best for you.
